Time to bite the bullet and add an oscillator to my boards.
Is the Mouser part No 815-ACH-18.432-EK compatible with the renard design.
It appears to be
slightly cheaper 1.63 vs 1.76 qty 10
slightly smaller case 12.7 vs 13.2 mm
more acurate +-30 vs +-100
Wider temperature range -20 to 70c vs 0 to 70c (important up north)
Looks to be a better replacement from an alternate manufacturer.
Is this a compatible part to the 520-TCH1843-X speced in the BOM for renard?

It looks good to me. The only question is about the power requirements for the part. That would be hard to tell without actually buying a part and measuring it, because I think that the specs are always extremely conservative. The 520-TCH part that I'm using seems to draw a lot less current than the spec (albeit at nominal temperature and voltage).
In any case, the frequency tolerance doesn't really matter (anything within about 1% would be fine), although the temperature range is obviously of concern.
